An inadequate translation or incorrect tag?

In my country (Argentina) there are this storage deposit of water in the fields. (we call it “australian tank”)

When I started to map (in JOSM in spanish) the man made tag “Depósito de agua” (water deposit or water reservoir) seems correct.

Now I realize that in english that same tag is reservoir covered. In spanish there is no mention of cover/uncovered.

Have I been using an incorrect tag or both can represent the same thing?

Hi Ale!

I would tag that kind of water tank as man_made=storage_tank + content=water.

The man_made=reservoir_covered is for holding fresh water ready for distribution. See: British Dam Society - Uses for Reservoirs
