Am trying to be too accurate?

I have two mini roundabouts about 20 mtrs apart which is how it was drawn is OSM. However the road between them is really dual carriageway as there is a kerb and fence between the too carriageways. I redrew the feature with two roundabouts about to scale and two separate one way roads over the GPS tracks. The problem is that even at level 17 view you can see the road is a bit wider there but you cannot make out any of the detail I added. So I am very tempted to return it to how it was originally.

Even if the information doesn’t view well at z17 (does it at z18 in Mapnik?) the more accurate information will still be presumably more useful for anything that uses the underlying data (routing applications perhaps?) so I’d say that no - you aren’t trying to be too accurate.
