At this point, I want to say that I have made a consistent, good faith effort to explain my reasoning and respond constructively to every concern raised. I’ve provided examples, clarified my position repeatedly, and tried to stay focused on how this work can benefit both OSM and Wikivoyage, as well as hikers who rely on these tools.
Unfortunately, much of the feedback has not engaged with the actual arguments I’ve made. Some responses have misrepresented what I’ve said, and the overall tone has felt more aimed at discouraging than discussing. That is disappointing.
I’m still open to collaboration and constructive input. But I will not continue to engage with bad faith arguments or attempts to derail the conversation. If there are genuine concerns, I am here to address them. If not, I’ll focus my time on continuing to improve the tools and guides that hikers actually use.
