Just wanted to update you on some tweaks I’ve made regarding administrative boundaries in Thailand.

After looking into the best practices (here and here), gathering global feedback (here and here), and chatting with @nitinatsangsit, here’s what I’ve done:

  • Created a fresh wiki entry for place=subdistrict: Check it out here

  • Made sure to add the missing place=subdistrict for Tambons in the Administrative levels tables of the Thailand wiki: You can see the updates here

  • Updated all Thailand province (admin_level=4) label nodes from place=state to place=province to align with the current wiki schema

  • I have removed the duplicated Bangkok node, which was mistakenly tagged as role: admin_center. Additionally, I have re-tagged the other Bangkok node with the correct admin_level and with role:label."

  • Also, I’ve included Thailand provinces and a few others in the Current Usage section for the wiki entry on place=provinces.
