Adding objects with coordinates only

Hello,

I sometimes use Maps.me during my travels to pinpoint some POI. I’d like to add them to OSM using just the coordinates provided by maps.me, it would be faster and safer than trying to do it from satellite pictures or the existing map. Is there a way I can do that?

Personally, I’d always to and reconcile any local coordinates that I have recorded via e.g. a phone with other data that’s already there - it’ll reduce errors. Don’t just add things blindly where you’ve recorded them.

For example yesterday I added some things in some woodland. My GPS points were, after comparison with local government open data and two sets of imagery, obviously 3-10m off. It would have been wrong to add stuff where I recorded it.
