Personally, I’d always to and reconcile any local coordinates that I have recorded via e.g. a phone with other data that’s already there - it’ll reduce errors. Don’t just add things blindly where you’ve recorded them.

For example yesterday I added some things in some woodland. My GPS points were, after comparison with local government open data and two sets of imagery, obviously 3-10m off. It would have been wrong to add stuff where I recorded it.
