Adding fictional roads that connect a parking entrance and exit

I could’ve sworn this was discussed already but I can’t find the discussion for this.

For underground parking garages and car parks where entrance and exit are located at different locations, we already map the entrance and exit as amenity=parking_entrance. However, do we also want fictional paths that connect entrance and exit, so the roads leading to the parking entrance/exit don’t become routing dead-ends?

I’m asking because there was a note where an anonymous user requested that a fictional road be added to connect parking entrance and exit, and a mapper has gone ahead and added the fictional road: Note: 4633197 | OpenStreetMap

I would assume, on the ground there is a road (usually several) connecting entrance and exit. What’s existing in real life can also be mapped. If you are not satisfied with the precision, you can enhance it, but never delete it.

To be clear:

I have not added a fictional road to OSM. I have mapped a physically existing parking_aisle that I‘ve used a few times myself already. Even the path of the way from the Edge of the parking space to the exit was already mapped by another Mappen quite accurately. (The long tunnel to the exit).

In my opinion it is best practice to Connect entrance with exit in Order to have a routable connection in osm data and to avoid stubs that weren‘t even tagged with noexit=yes. Which then would also Not be correct.
