OSM Website recently added a “Add Social Link” in profile settings. However, it isn’t working for me and nothing happens when I click on it. Not sure if it’s a problem on my side or not.
It should open a field with the Remove button further right.
Just paste the link you want and save it with the Update Profile button further down. Then, that social link should appear in your profile, beneath your profile banner with a “web” icon next to it.
If you use an ad blocker or have it built into your browser, try disabling it
oh thanks. disabling the blocker worked. i never guessed that that could be the issue.
and if it fixes problem: you can report false positives to author of adblocker

BTW, is this happening without blocking “Social widgets” being enabled?
Maybe these works as intended, looks quite like social widget to me.
yup. it is with social widget filter list enabled. not sure if that’s the way it is supposed to work though. adding data to a profile on website shouldn’t count as a widget.
Or the button should also be inside #social_links, then you won’t see it and won’t try to click.
