1911 Virginia, Wrightwood, ca is mapped wrong

How do I change an incorrect location on your map? My sister is not getting alerts because the address is wrong in your system.

Could you please give us some details of what is “wrong”?

Hi Melody,

I was going to say that it looks correct, but that’s because @iandees just added the information. I now see the address for 1911 Virginia in Wrightwood placed in the same location in OpenStreetMap as in Google Maps and in the San Bernadino County data. Thanks for beating me to it Ian!

Note that even though the address information is now added, it may take some time for it to appear correct in whatever system is using OpenStreetMap data for addresses for alerts. If you let us know what alerts you’re referring to, we may be able to give you a sense for how long it might take for that application to update data from OpenStreetMap (whether it’s days, weeks, or months).

When you input that address in Watch Duty it shows up south of interstate 10, not in Wrightwood which is north of I10

Thanks to all of you!

Thanks for all the info - Looking at Watch Duty’s docs, they say it can take a few weeks for changes made here to update in their system, so she may want to disable and re-enable alerts in a few weeks to pick up the change.
